Perigee Moon

In honor of this weekend's perigee moon, the largest of this year, a poem from one of my favorite collections of Mother Goose rhymes, illustrated by Charles Addams (click image to view larger):

Girls and boys,
Come out to play.
The moon does shine
As bright as day.
Come with a hoop,
Come with a call,
Come with a good will,
Or not at all.
